After I graduated from St. Thomas, I attended The New York School of Printing in Manhattan with Tommy Avallone and Bruno Venturelli. I enlisted in the Air Force in September 1967. I spent one year in Vietnam in a unit responsible for Base Security. I was also stationed in North Dakota, Maine and New Hampshire. After my discharge, I worked in the Wall Street area for a year. In October 1972, I joined the New York City Department of Corrections and worked there until June 1974 when I joined NYPD. I am presently retired from the force and working in real estate. I have a daughter and three sons from two marriages and two grandchildren.
